Chapter 19. Past of Mine

Sherizad’s POV

As the sun began to set, I snuck out of my father’s castle, tent, yeah, but that was his castle equivalent. I made my way to the clearing where I had agreed to meet Alpha Ryan. My heart raced with anticipation and nervousness. The thought of being caught made my fur stand on end, but the idea of seeing him again filled me with excitement.

I had wondered outside my pack’s perimeter many a nights but never to meet a boy. This was my first time.

I saw him standing at the edge of the clearing, his tall and muscular frame illuminated by the soft glow of the moon. His dark hair was tousled by the wind, and his piercing blue eyes were fixed on me as I approached him. I could feel his gaze tracing every inch of my body, making my skin tingle.

We had started off on a wrong foot but I had to admit, he was not bad at all.

We stood in silence for a moment, taking each other in. It was hard to believe that only a few days ago we had been sworn enemies
