Elina's POV

I left the house all sobbing. I feel terrible for having tried to come at all. The words my dad used against me are hurting me a lot, and my heart aches. I shouldn't have listened to Mateo. My instincts told me my father wouldn't help me.

How do I get a cab? I don't have enough money on me. I thought I could collect some money from my mother, but my dad didn't even allow her to have any form of private conversation with me.
