Chapter 147. Tortured Like a Slave

I watched the Beta in silence as he came into the room more often. The Alpha and Luna gave me a room but the beta kept on checking on me. I didn’t say anything because he seemed rather vicious in the woods and I'd rather not speak and anger him. I tensed as he came closer. He set the tray he was holding down and for a long while we had a staring contest. His eyes and face stoic as he observed me, but because I am weak I'm sure mine showed fear.

I was weak but I had the ability to kill the beta of the other pack.

Then he sighed and I swear from the break of silence I almost jumped. "I will not hurt you little one. I, along with the Alpha and Luna have seen what you've been through. I would never do so to a lady like you." I look at his eyes as he speaks and I can tell he is serious.

"No one will look for me.." I say so quietly if he wasn't a wolf he wouldn't have heard me.

He looks confused for a moment and then it seems he remembers what he said in the woods.
