Chapter 197. I Reject You, Scarlett O'Hara

Scarlett hummed softly as she gently washed her body with rose-scented water. The thought of Simon kissing her a few hours earlier was so hard to get out of her brain. Scarlett chuckled softly as she left the water. She grabbed her robe and exited the bathroom.

The room was exactly as she had left it. Simon hadn't returned yet. Scarlett decided to go look for him in her robe. They weren't able to spend the night together on the night of her wedding, but they would this time. She looked through the library and the office, but he wasn't there. If he had gone to bring the item he had mentioned to her, it had to be in his old room.

She stood in front of the door, took a deep breath, and placed a knock on it. "Simon. Are you in there?" There was no response. Scarlett knocked once more. "Simon?" When there wasn't any response, she placed her hand on the door knob and gently opened the door. She peered in and saw Simon sitting sadly on the chair. His thoughts were elsewhere.
