A Quarrel

"Are you alright, Commander?"

I raised my head. I nodded and smiled at Colette. "Yes, I am fine. Why do you ask?" I asked while we were getting to the forest after we passed by the borders of the kingdom.

"You seem a little strange today." She looked at me, worried. "A little gloomy, I mean."

I looked at her, surprised. How come she even notice that? I tried my best to put up my best smile right now. But still, Colette notices it.

I ended up releasing a chuckle. "You are overreacting. I am fine. I am just stressed from my duty and training this afternoon," I lied.

"Okay. If you say so, Commander." She smiled and tapped my shoulder. "I'll go this way. My other partner must have been waiting there."

"Or do you mean Benedict?" I teased, grinning.

"Commander..." She frowned that made earn a chuckle. I raised both of my handsx surrendering and not doing to tease her again. I highly doubt that I would stop teasing her with her mate
