Desmond’s POV
I stared at Brenda, my eyes narrowing with simmering fury as her words echoed in my mind. The audacity. Did she honestly think she could threaten me and walk away unscathed? Her voice, sharp and venomous, had sliced through the air moments ago, and now, silence hung between us like a storm cloud about to burst.
“I’ll tell Lila everything about us,” Brenda had hissed, her lips curling into a sinister smile. “I’ll expose you. Let’s see how you’ll get your father’s property then.”
