Chapter 75

Erebus POV

Light breaks through the curtains and I groan as it hits my face. Ella snuggles in closer to my chest trying to block herself from the light. Wrapping my arms around her I try not to think about the dreams that plagued my sleep. Dreams of Grace having a terrible vision about my pup and Ella. Dreams about losing them both. Day by day I know that the war is coming closer and closer. I know that I have to find a way to keep them both protected even though Ella is insisting on fighting. I squeeze her small frame in my arms before I slide my arm out from under her gently and make my way towards the shower.

Looking back at Ella, she has snuggled herself into my pillow and is snoring lightly. Her shirt has ridden up her stomach revealing the subtle baby bump that is growing. Unable to help myself I walk back over to the bed and place a kiss on her stomach. Ella stirs as the tingles of the bond between us spread throughout her body. “Erebus?”
