Chapter 51. A Satisfying Feeling

Ellie's POV

"Good evening!"

I lay over in the cozy bed while his voice reverberated in my ears. I open my eyes to the sight of him seated next to me, his face buried in his laptop.

"Good...evening! Is it really evening?" Pulling myself up, I ask, checking through the open curtain to make sure it is indeed evening.

The sun indeed seems to be fading away ushering in the darkness. Is that how long I slept? And during the day? Another world wonder! I don't vaguely recall ever dozing off in the middle of the day.

It's true that I occasionally feel dizzy and worn out, and I end up nestling myself underneath the covers in the hopes that I would eventually fall asleep, but all I ever do is wish and hope while tossing and turning in bed until I get sick of never being able to sleep and annoyably drag my ass out of bed. I don't think I'm changing, the world must be.
