Chapter 52
Vivianne just sighed deeply when she heard what Beckett said. She couldn't believe how crude her ex-boyfriend's words were, even the unprofessional behavior he exhibited right in her own office.
"Goodness, Beckett. What are you even saying?" Vivianne asked, trying to calm herself. "And seriously, that was so informative. I've learned a lot but you could've kept it to yourself."
Vivianne took the document from Beckett's hand afterward. She sat down on the couch and began to read the contract.
"This is so long. Are you trying to trick me into signing a Marriage Contract?" the young woman jokes.
Beckett chuckled. He stood up and walked over to Vivianne's direction, sitting beside her. "That is a good idea, but no. I will not stoop that low to have you."
"So you're saying I'm not worth the effort?" Vivianne raised an eyebrow.
"No. I’m saying that you are worth all the effort I can give, but all the efforts I will give should be worthy as well," Becket
