Chapter 14
Camille’s POV
Victoria watched with cold eyes as Dr. Torres led me to the big bathroom. A white cloth covered the full-length mirror. The doctor positioned me carefully, standing behind my right shoulder.
“Remember,” she said gently, “what you see today is still healing. There’s swelling and bruises. The final results won’t show for weeks. But you’ll get your first look at the new you.”
She pulled away the cloth.
I gasped.
The woman in the mirror was me, but not me. My face, but stronger. My cheekbones cut sharp shadows beneath them, giving my face an elegant power it never had before. My jawline looked harder, more defined. My eyebrows arched higher, making my eyes seem larger and more commanding.
