Ronnell’s POV

The laughter died in William’s throat. A heavy silence followed, thick with unspoken questions. Finally, he spoke, his voice low and serious. “There are a lot of things I need to understand. How were you treating Blair, Ronnell? Because judging by those notes, it clearly wasn’t pleasant. Blair wouldn’t stoop to such tactics under normal circumstances.”

“We all know that Veronica would have your head if you stepped out of line.” I uttered, Veronica had worked for William for a long time and she didn’t take shit from anyone, including him.

“Yes, she would and I know that I would deserve it. Are you perhaps being a dick to your employees, Ronnell?”

I eyed the scattered paper on my desk, each one neatly scrawled up with insults. “I don’t know if you know this but I’m clearly not easy to work for, but I like to think that I’m fair. If I notice myself being a dick, I instantly correct the entire situation.”
