“Doctor, is she going to be alright?” Uncle Pete asked the young man who looked to be in his thirties with cool nerd glasses as he approached us.
“She's in a critical condition. She's going to undergo surgery to remove shards of bullets detected in her stomach. Also, she seemed to have been tortured badly. Some of her organs are in desperate need of repair before they become damaged.” The doctor divulged importantly.
Blood drained from my face. Despite the many tears I'd shed, more still filled my eyes and ran down my cheeks.
