Chapter 23. Creating a New Story

Brian stretched his large body under the thick blanket like a cocoon. The familiar scent of the room he had missed for the past week surrounded him, and he savored the comfort.

"Arrghhh!" The pain in his right abdomen still lingered as he moved, and in his haste, Brian sat up abruptly. The pain shot through his body, and he had to lie back down to ease the discomfort that spread throughout.
