Chapter 20. Hot Tub
“Really?” he asked, his eyebrows arched in shock. “I love the hot tub. I try to come out here at least once or twice a week for a few minutes. I don’t always have time.”
“Even in the summer?”
“Well, I don’t turn the heat on very high then, but yeah. I like the pool, too, but the hot tub is more relaxing.”
Mia’s eyes traveled over to the pool nearby. It was a bit too chilly for a swim that evening, but she could imagine herself lounging out there on a summer day beneath the palm trees, the scent of the array of flowers from the perfectly manicured landscape filling her lungs.
“How was work?” Beau asked, snapping her out of her imagination and back to him. Why would she ever feel the need to let her mind wander when she was sitting here with such a fine looking gentleman?
