Chapter 51. An Ache
Being back in the office Monday morning was therapeutic for Sam. He hated going out of town, especially in a rush. When one of his most important clients had called late Thursday evening insisting that he come to his headquarters the next morning, he’d had no choice but to drop everything and go, even if he didn’t want to.
Now, sitting behind his desk, he was glad to be back in Chicago, glad to be in the office. He had a ton of work to do since he’d spent too much time entertaining Greg while he was visiting and not enough time paying attention to his other clients. He definitely needed to devote most of the work day to getting caught up on emails and returning phone calls.
