Isla turned to me, hands clasped under her chin, eyes wide and pleading like a puppy begging for a treat.
“Sister, please,” she said, voice soft and whiny, lower lip pushed out. “You’re not sharing him alone. That’s not fair. I’ve been good. I waited in the lobby like you asked… mostly.”
I stared at her, irritation warring with something hotter. She looked ridiculous and adorable at the same time, and the way she said “sister” sent a shiver down my spine that had nothing to do with guilt.
Jack watched us both, arms still crossed, that calm, unreadable expression on his face. He didn’t say a word, he just waited for me to decide.
I exhaled hard, running a hand through my hair.
“Fine,” I muttered. “Threesome it is.”
Isla’s face lit up like I’d just handed her the best Christmas present ever. She actually bounced a little on her toes.
