After minutes of procrastinating I grabbed the key and went to where she called.
I slid the keycard into the slot with fingers that wouldn’t stop trembling.
The lock clicked green. I stepped inside and the door shut behind me like a vault.
The suite was all low light and money, floor to ceiling windows looking over the dark harbor, a bottle of something old and expensive breathing on the bar, and the sound of water still running in the marble bathroom.
She stepped out barefoot, wrapped in nothing but a short white robe that stopped high on her thighs.
The belt was knotted loosely, one tug and it would fall open. Her skin glistened from the bath, droplets clinging to her collarbones, sliding down between her breasts.
