Before I had a chance to respond, I heard Crystal say, "We really should leave them to the rest of their night."

She stood up and smoothed down the fabric of her dress.

"It looks like it’ll get pretty interesting," she said. "Plus, we have to drop Bianka off."

"Or maybe she could just come with us," Jason suggested, also standing up.

"Oh, darling," Crystal said, perking up. "That’s such a deliciously good idea! What do you say, B?"

"I’d love that," she replied but never took her eyes off of mine.

She flashed me a pair of duck-face lips and joined Crystal and Jason in giving hugs before they departed.

"I’ll see you tomorrow," I whispered to Bianka as they left.
