At five o'clock, we headed upstairs to freshen up for our 7 p.m. reservation at Wing Lei, the Wynn's excellent Chinese restaurant. We were tipsy and high, carrying the perfect buzz. We rode the elevator with another couple coming up from the pool. The woman, wearing a thong, hung off her muscular husband's arm. Her diamond ring shone brightly.
