"It’s funny," I observed. "When you meet this way, you don’t always have the usual small talk and get to know each other."

"Yeah, but we got to figure out that we’re compatible in the most important way," she said.

"But, yeah," Jason continued. "John kind of took me under his wing, and we ended up having some good times. The place isn’t the same without you."
