"Seriously?" Steph said. I had trouble reading her reaction and whether it was a good or bad shock. She made it clear right away. "That was, like, the designer drug. There were a couple frats that had it around sometimes, but I couldn’t ever afford it, so the few times I did it, it was just from guys who shared. It was probably for the best that I didn’t have any money because it all would have gone up my nose."

She laughed again, the nervousness creeping in. She was feeling out, too, whether she was over-sharing.

"Let’s go find a couple bikinis," Rita said, intentionally pivoting. "I think one of mine will probably fit you. John, be a good boy and guard our drinks, please?"
