Thorne POV
We had gone back only to find out that the woman named Elsie had relocated to Belgium. Although Freya had been devastated, the only thing that consoled her was the fact that Elsie had left a phone number in case Freya ever contacted her.
I watched as she stared at the piece of paper while I followed closely behind her and at that moment, my mind drifted back to Nigel. Anger boiled within me when the memories of what had happened earlier flashed inside my mind.
What the heck was he even up to?
The two had smiled at each other like they were long-lost acquaintances who were just meeting each other after so many years. And now that I had come face to face with Nigel, I couldn’t just shake off the eerie feeling that he looked familiar.
I ran a finger through the back of my neck, trying to recollect where I had seen him before, but it was impossible.
