Chapter 48. Hope

Thorne POV

Empty— That was the perfect word to describe the current situation in my life. Actually, no, that was basically what my life was filled with now. Nothing but emptiness.

Ever since Freya left, my life had remained frozen in time. Nothing made sense without her being around, and no matter how much I tried searching for her, I couldn’t find her.

I had searched the ends of the earth for her. I turned the world upside down searching for her, yet all my efforts came to nothing.

Alexandro, my long-time enemy turned friend, had helped in finding her, and he even went as far as checking if there was a high chance that she was captured by the Lycan King, but he had found nothing. I even waged war against everyone that I thought might have a hand in her disappearance, but all my attempts all led to a dead end.

Like that, I had been stuck trying to unravel the mystery behind Freya’s disappearance and the memories of her that I couldn’t let go.
