Raze was on a mission to kill, destroy, and take what was his—Forcefully and mercilessly—and thankfully, I had ended up gaining control back of myself.

I darted my eyes to Freya, whose chest fell and rose steadily as a tendril of hair fell across her face. Standing outside the door, the only sound that drummed in my heart was that of my heart beating in my chest.

It felt so surreal. It felt like it was one of those many dreams where she was always cradled in my arms. But the difference now was that this wasn’t a dream. This was real.

Apart from the fact that she felt light in my arms, nothing much had changed about her appearance. Her hair color was now obsidian black and the more my eyes lingered on her face, the more my mind reeled with different questions that I was dying to ask her.
