Third-Person POV

“The weather is good today. How about we go shopping?” Mandy asked as she got instructions from Lance to take Alayana out when he was away. He went out on business work and will be back by evening.

Alayana did not show interest as she wanted to sleep lazily. “It’s Mr. Lance’s birthday today. Don’t you want to buy a gift?”

“Really?! Is that why he said he would come back for dinner?” She asked immediately, sitting up straight. Her sleep was gone now. He had done so much for her and it was time for her to show gratitude.

“Yes. Mr. Lance looks like a lonely person and I think no one would celebrate his birthday. So how about we buy a cake and prepare a nice dinner for him?” Mandy asked, helping her with cleaning the room.
