Kin didn’t try to make excuses for himself when things went wrong.

“We had tracked down some leads from Marcus’s former colleague, but when we followed that trail, we found out that this Marcus isn’t real,” Kin explained.

“The real Marcus had sold his social media accounts to someone else a long time ago, and even had this person post fragments of his life using the account. However, no personal photos were posted, so his colleagues believed the person in the circle of friends was the real Marcus.”
