Chapter 119

After we ate our meal, we prepared to leave. I was still upset about the fact that Daring would not be returning home with us and asked Jormun for somewhere private for me to say goodbye to the wolf.

Jormun gave me a key to the manager’s office, located at the back of the building. He then offered free drinks to Killian and Adal as they waited for us to say farewell. I was relieved that I was being given the chance to say goodbye to Daring.

“Goodness.” I sighed as we entered the office. I closed the door behind us before hugging Daring. “I feel like I just got you back after being such a jerk to you, only to send you away.” I complained to him.

“It’s not forever, Villi.” Daring said as he gently stroked my hair. I felt something in the pit of my stomach as we suddenly found ourselves alone. I pulled away from the hug and looked around the room. Would it be wrong to take advantage of the situation and have one final embrace before we parted ways.

“What is it?”
