I let out a sigh and then laid back down.

It didn't take long for a few days to turn into weeks, which then turned into months, which then turned into years. I had never expected to feel such a strong connection to Kane, but I did. I shared the tale of my life with him, and he did the same with me. It turned out that there was less of a divide between us than I had anticipated.
