Every step that I made as I walked along the corridor of the hospital felt heavy. My entire body was trembling with misery, remorse, and rage as I realized what happened.
I had just left Anderson’s hospital and was on my way to the mortuary, where my mother's body was being held. The words of Dr. Henry continued to reverberate in my ear. ‘‘She killed herself. Her wrist was injured when the nurse discovered her in the washroom of the medical facility. She suffered a significant amount of blood loss, and unfortunately, she did not survive…’’
