Chapter 31. There’s No Relationship Between Us

The Cheetah soon landed near the enormous mansion. Emerald also felt relieved when she saw the soft lawn.

Harvey opened the gate and walked out of the cabin first. Two military police stood by the gate and said with respect, “My Lord, the mayor is here.”

Kenzo seemed calm as he walked out, holding Emerald.

Wade Sterling stood on the metal path beside the lawn. He was surprised to see them stepping out of the plane and walked quickly to them. “Director Lane, I heard that you went out when I visited... Miss Wilson?”

Kenzo glanced at Emerald, “Yes, and she’s fine.”

Wade didn’t believe him completely, and the doctor from behind him walked up. “Director Lane, we have to check her before we can be sure.”

Kenzo nodded and let Emerald go. Two guards walked to her, put her in handcuffs, then pushed her to the side.

Wade walked to her after he said something to Kenzo. “Don’t be afraid.” He said, “I’ll release you once the test is done.”
