Chapter 207. In the Dark

Raven’s POV

Once Rose awoke in my mind, she wasted no time trying to heal my broken spine. The only problem is that it is taking longer than my father and mates would like.

Each day all five of them come to the hospital demanding to know what the doctor is doing to further my healing. But each day, they are told the same thing. They are told my wolf needs time to heal my spine, but the doctor assures them I will be back up on my feet in no time.

Today feels different. Visiting hours start at 9:00 AM. I watch the clock on my wall with a smile on my face. As soon as it hits nine, the five of them will come bounding into the room. I count down the seconds, “Three, two, one...”

Turning my attention to my doorway, I wait for them to come in the door, but nothing happens. Every day for the past week, they have not missed a day. I cannot help but stare at the clock and wait.
