Chapter 389. Intrusive Thoughts

Tish POV

I get to the cabin and push the door open. I spent the entire walk home thinking about Kai and his memory loss. Depression creeps into my mind, and I wonder if I am the only one he is forgetting.

I kick my shoes off, and my toes curl against something soft on the floor. Looking down, I spot rose petals all over the floor. A trial of candles leads back the small hallway and into the bedroom.

Not wanting to risk another fire, I blow out each candle on the way back the hall. Kaden is grinning wildly when I walk through the door. My eyes blink rapidly as I look at him. He is completely naked.

“Jumping right to the point, aren’t you?” I laugh.

“ We can talk later,” Kaden says as he darts across the room. I want to push him away because we need to talk, but I don’t have the strength. His touch is pulling me in, and I am putty in his hands.
