Chapter 578. Mates

Charlie POV

Rolfe whimpers in my mind, trying to claw his way out. He is able to recognize Wren as his mate for the first time, and he cannot control his excitement. A smile spreads across my face, and I rush to Wren, holding her in my arms.

“What is Jasmine telling you?”

Her eyes are glittering with tears, and her cheeks are flushed. “You are my mates.”

She looks over my shoulder to Destin. He is shuffling from foot to foot, unsure how to approach us. For a fleeting moment, we forgot that he doesn’t have a wolf in his mind to confirm she is his mate. All this time, the symbols on his skin have been enough for him.

Wren curls her finger, beckoning him forward. He closes the distance between us, and Wren climbs out of my arms. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she pulls him in for a kiss. I want to give them this moment, but my hands have a mind of their own.

I trail my fingers along her side and under the hem of her shirt. Goosebumps peppe
