Chapter 115. A Whiff of Hope

Former me would be embarrassed at how badly I was stressing just because Magnus had not contacted me yet. I had been expecting his call, text message, or anything all day, and the absence of any of those had completely ruined my day.
"Astrid!"
I snapped back to the present and blinked at my father's slightly irritated expression.
"Did you get what I said?" He asked.
"Uhm…something about the full moon being the pack's weakest time," I stated hesitantly.
He eyed me coldly, then picked up a paper and handed it to me.
"I asked if you've counted the pack members."
"Yes," I answered, my eyes scanning across the paper. "I did that yesterday."
"Good. You, Zyaire, and four others would be in charge of remarking the territories during the full moon," he pushed his chair back and stood up. "As you already know, most of the pack would be…raving and out of control. We need wolfsbane, lots of it."
"Yes, father."
