I watched as Magnus left the room, closing the door tightly shut behind him. I successfully put on my clothes and stood up from the bed with shaky legs. I couldn't believe we had almost had sex, and I was somehow grateful that those rogues had interrupted us. A female wolf going into heat has to be the craziest thing the Moon goddess would ever have to formulate. I mean, why the crazy and unnecessary pain just to get mates who were delaying to mate with themselves?

I walked to the mirror and stood in front of it. My face was flushed, and my lips a bit swollen from his rough kisses.
