"What's going on here?" Magnus's mother asked, her eyes wide in surprise.
Magnus took in a deep breath. "Mum, this isn't what it looks like."
"Oh, but it is." She replied. "I'm not blind enough not to see that you are kissing the daughter of your father's enemy."
She stepped into the elevator before it closed and stood in between both of us.
"I need to know everything." She said, her composure returned.
"Know what, Mum?" Magnus asked, his voice a little shaky.
She glared at him. "Are you going to keep treating me like a fool, or do you want us handling this in your father's ward? Because trust me, I don't mind both."
