Chapter 100

When Selene woke up, she saw the servant running into the room. She was covered in blood, with a cut running from her hand to her forearm. Helena watched the scene in horror, and at the same time as Selene, she looked at the baby sleeping helplessly in the crib. The frightened servant quickly presented the facts.

There had been an invasion of the castle by the Minkovis, and the wolves were fighting as best they could.

But the religious warriors had the advantage of surprise. They had infiltrated because someone loyal to them had opened the gates. They entered disguised as a merchant caravan on the island, and upon arrival, they managed to gain access because a Minkovi soldier was planted within.
