I open my eyes to see a little girl. She was squatting and peering at me with curiosity. I was about to sit up when I felt something heavy on my chest. I looked down, a little surprised to see Elaine still on my lap, and he wasn't asleep anymore.

I sat up and adjusted him properly since the little guy didn't seem eager to get off me. I turn my attention back to the little girl whose attention was now on Elaine.

“Why are you hugging the Luna? She isn't your mummy” I don't think she meant to be rude, but the little man took it personally and glared at her really hard before bursting into tears.

“Why are you crying? I only asked you a question?” She was genuinely curious and didn't mean to hurt him.
