After returning to her room, Serena sank onto the sofa, letting out a tired sigh. Her phone rang, interrupting the brief moment of peace.

She picked it up and saw an unfamiliar number. After a brief pause, she answered cautiously. “Hello?”

A familiar voice breathed with relief, “Oh thank goodness, Serena, I finally found you!”

“You’re… Vega?!”

“It’s me! Don’t tell me you don’t recognize my voice!”

“You… changed your number?” Serena asked, curiosity piqued.

“Nope! I borrowed someone else’s phone. I’ve been trying to reach you with my number, but I could never get through. I thought something had happened to you!”

“What do you mean? I haven’t turned my phone off at all lately!” Serena frowned.
