Chapter 102. Dam-Nighade Pack
The moment he stepped through the estate gates, warriors parted like the sea for him, their heads bowed, some whispering blessings under their breath. He barely acknowledged them. Inside the manor, Selena met him at the entrance, eyes bright with relief, though her mouth was drawn with worry.
“She’s upstairs,” Selena said gently. “She’s been waiting by the balcony since she felt you fall.”
Damian didn’t respond. He simply walked past her.
Up the stairs. Down the hallway. And then—
There she was.
Ella.
Her hair was unbound, a gentle wind fluttering the thin veil of her dress. She turned at the sound of his footsteps.
And for a heartbeat, neither of them moved.
Then her eyes filled with tears and she ran to him.
Damian caught her mid-stride, pulling her into his arms with a gentleness that contradicted the blood still crusted along his knuckles. He pressed his forehead to hers, breathing in the scent of her—his home, his anchor.
