Chapter 29. The Truth in Moonlight

Lila. She had planned it all. The lies. The poison. The betrayal. She had used Kaden and destroyed Ella’s life because she was jealous and greedy.

Damian slammed his fist on the desk. The wood groaned under the force. His power flared in the air around him, thick with rage.

How could he have been so blind? How could Kaden? That weak fool!

Just then, the door creaked open.

Ella walked in quietly. Her presence was gentle, her aura calming. Her white hair flowed over her shoulders, and her eyes sparkled in the moonlight.

“Damian… you sent for me?”

His chest tightened. She was beautiful, strong, and innocent. And she had been hurt so deeply—because of Lila.

He stood up, his eyes serious, his energy protective and firm. “Ella, there’s something you need to know.”

Her eyes widened with worry. “What is it?”

He took a deep breath. “I’ve been looking into your past—why you were banished, what people said about you. And I found the truth.”
