“Greed Malysh. Greed.” Her mother responded. “He knows I am back, he suspects I can reclaim everything I gave him. He is no longer the president, so he would be more willing to negotiate.”

Racheal glanced at her mother as they both stood leaning against the black Rolls Royce.

Her guards were standing all around.

The image she had of her mother from her childhood was completely different from the woman that reappeared last year. This woman was kind but hardened, could be sweet to friends and brutal to enemies.

She was not sure she hated it exactly.

She envied it a little even. But she knew she did not have it in her to be that kind of person.

Even with all the horrors she had gone through, there was still that soft side inside her. Although she hid it well now.
