I pushed open the front door as quietly as I could, wincing at every little squeak of the hinges. My heart was still pounding—not from fear, but from... everything else. Every part of me still felt tender, like I was carrying a secret too big for my heart alone. But there was no way I could share it.
The house was unusually quiet, dark, with my shadows stretching across the floor as I stepped inside. My skin still hummed with the memory of Andre's touch and the unforgettable moment we shared. I closed my eyes briefly, letting the sensation wash over me again.
