Chapter 217. Officer Eliza

Amelie’s POV

To say I was shaken was an understatement. It was so easy for whoever this psycho was to get to Eliza. It literally scared the shit out of me.

“Hi, Dr. Michaels and Mrs. Michaels, I’m Detective Volkov,” the officer said. “Detective Anton is away on assignment this week, but he’s filled me in on your situation.”

“Nice to meet you, Detective Volkov,” Nathan replied.

“Can I meet your daughter so she can answer some questions?” Volkov asked.

“Sure,” I responded. “Let me go get her.”

I went upstairs to grab Eliza and brought her down to the dining room table.

“Eliza, this is Detective Volkov,” I said. “He would like to ask you a few questions. You need to tell him the truth and as much as you can remember. Ok?”
