Chapter 5
“What do you mean?” Weston asked the attorney.
I’m seated near the attorney’s desk; he is also seated while Weston is standing facing him.
“You had a witness last night. I don’t know where you get him. I told you that you didn’t even need a witness for the wedding, but you insisted. So I did what you wanted, even though the man has no idea what he is doing, but I think you gave him money.”
He faced palm. He is more troubled than ever. At the precinct, he was fine and more composed, while I was annoying him for what he did.
He could quickly call me and tell me that we were married rather than reporting me to the police.
But if he called me, I don’t think that I would believe him at all. Because who knows if he is trying to get his money back? He is sober enough to think that it’s stupid to give a fat stranger money for just swaying her hips.
I sighed.
My eyes went back to him.
He is Weston Remington.
