Alice approached Alden, who was sitting and reading the newspaper. Their marriage had lasted about twenty-eight years. Now they both took care of each other, even though their marriage began as an unwanted arranged marriage. Nevertheless, they found perfect happiness like any other married couple.

Alice embraced Alden's arm without his approval. She still acted affectionate, just as when they first accepted the marriage due to Chloe's arrangement. If only Chloe hadn't matched them back then, their lives wouldn't be running as smoothly as they are now.

"Do you have any plans today, dear?" Alice asked, taking the newspaper from Alden's hand. He had been engrossed in it and almost didn't notice her arrival.

"Um... seems like I don't. Why?"

Alice adjusted her sitting position, facing Alden. "We haven't visited Chloe's grave in a while. Let's go there. I miss her."

Alden nodded. "But we can't stay long, as Chloe will be coming soon."
