Chapter 99

Edrik, lying on the sofa, shifted as his arm was gently tapped by their household assistant. He was roused from his deep sleep.

"What is it, Bi?" Edrik blinked, allowing his consciousness to gather fully. Thankfully, the momentary rest had alleviated the dizziness that had overtaken him earlier.

"Miss Sherena is crying in the kitchen, Sir. She said..."

"Oh my... Sherena!" Edrik jolted up, leaping off the sofa and hurrying to the kitchen.

"Bee," he called out, embracing Sherena who was crying while eating.

"What? Why are you here? Get away from me, I don't want to inconvenience you," she mumbled. Despite her tears, she continued eating the ramen in her bowl. In fact, even the ramen she had bought for Edrik had found its way into her bowl.

"Bee, please forgive me for falling asleep and feeling dizzy." Edrik kissed the top of Sherena's head. "Please don't cry anymore. I promise this is the last time I'll neglect you. I truly never intended to ignore you."
