Chapter 29
Caroline’s POV
“I haven’t used this house in a long time. It seems that my parents have no plans to return to this place and they are already building a new mansion in the city.” As we walked into the dusty lobby, Stanley removed the cover from a table. All the dust fell to the floor.
I don’t know where it is. I stayed in the hospital for three days and rested to get myself back in condition. The nurses wanted me to use a wheelchair because I had not fully recovered, but I said that I was fine and that Stanley was helping me. After that, I can’t remember how we got here. All I knew was that I got in his car and then fell asleep. We just got here at noon.
I don’t have my suitcases anymore, so I don’t know what to wear when I live here. Will I live here alone? I looked outside and saw dogs and cats fighting.
