* Later In The Evening *

" Lyra... "Are you sure you are okay now?" Bryan inquired worriedly over the phone; they were on a voice call.

"Yeah, I am fine," Lyra said in a dry tone, her face pale and definitely not okay, if Bryan could see her.

" Are you sure? " Bryan asked again, to be sure. " Yeah "

" So what are you going to do now? " Bryan asked worriedly. " I'm just going to try to stay out of his lane. Or keep myself locked in this guest room forever " She muttered sadly.

"Are you sure you do not want to report this to the police?" Bryan inquired; his tone indicated that he was furious, but he attempted to keep it under control.

"No, it is fine. It is not his first time assaulting me," Lyra said with a sad smile that he could not see.

" Then leave! Come on Lyra! You know he is doing all this to get you to leave, so do it! I am not okay with you staying there with that monster! Please, Lyra, simply sign the goddamn papers! Please " Bryan
