"We should explore the island," I suggested.

Alexander set down his cup, considering. "There's a hiking trail through the Mastic Reserve. Leads to some incredible cliff views overlooking the ocean."

"That sounds amazing."

"It's about an hour drive from here."

"Let's do it."

After breakfast, we cleaned up together. Alexander washed while I dried, our movements easy and practiced. When the last plate was put away, he pulled out his phone.

"I'll arrange a driver," he said, already dialing.

The car arrived forty minutes later, a sleek SUV with a driver who greeted us with a warm smile.

"Morning, Mr. and Mrs. Carter.
